The Blogger Retreat with Farfetch #TheOne

It's not every day that you get to hang out in a killer mansion, mid-week, on a glorious day... It seemed almost too good to be true! It was a tad different to how I spend most Wednesday, anything in comparison just doesn't hold up and it's down to the amazing Farfetch team for inviting me to their Blogger Retreat and what a treat it was!

Ticking The Next Age Bracket

Its a scary realisation when you're filling out some basic info to get access to that all important free wifi (to catch Pokemon of course) when you realise that you'll be hitting the big Two-Five in just a few short months. The fact that we're in the middle of July when I still think it's June is crazy enough with how quickly time is passing by, so I know that I'll be blowing out those candles on my cake real soon.

I went out over the weekend and did the whole 'ahh I need something to wear for tomorrow, quick lets order something from Asos (making the most of my Asos premier, the life saver that is)' thing. I knew I wanted to wear a dress and ended up buying 4 of them. Yes, FOUR! 

One of those four dresses, was this gorgeous oxblood, boho, seventies style smock dress. I instantly loved the overall over sized look of the dress - perfect for hiding those food babies - and the overhang of the sleeves over the cuffs. Not to mention the colour! I feel that as the sunny weather seems to have gone for good up North, I'm outfit planning for ahead and thinking of winter colours as opposed to making the most of my Summer frocks.

I've been loving the whole'70's style' that's around at the moment. I feel that it's something I can actually wear without feeling I'm showing too much flesh as most other dresses around right now are all boob & bum! The only bad thing about this dress is that it creases the moment you take it off the ironing board! :(

I styled this outfit with my trusty fedora & Shelly's London boots which are by far my fave pair of shoes. I really need to buy another pair of these as I know when they start to fall apart, I'll regret not investing!

I think this was my favourite outfit over the 3 days I spent in Paris. It was comfortable, practical and all in all cute! I never thought there would be a day where I'd wear an entire outfit that didn't feature something black in it... I'm a changed women!

I'f you've seen some of my latest outfit posts, I've veered towards light, neutral colours as opposed to all black everything. I suppose it is Summer after all...

I picked up these Zara trousers in the sale for a sweet £16! I was quite surprised when I tried them on as they're not high waisted and they fit me perfectly! I have the whole 'small waist/big bum' combo that's quite a problem when it comes to clothes. However, these did get a little baggy throughout the day which was a little frustrating. Or, I could have lost a couple of pounds from all the walking we did this day! Wishful thinking, ey?

I'm in love with these heels from Ego. I didn't think dusty pink heels could be so versatile, but I have a few more outfits in mind that I'd like to wear them with, they're so cute!!

I've also been wearing this white ribbed halter neck top from ASOS about 4 times a week! It's such an easy throw on and goes with everything! I teamed it with this LILY LULU waistcoat as I thought it tied it all together! At first I assumed it would only look good with a festival style outfit but I proved myself wrong!

I was also kindly sent some cute little bits from Nostalgic Feather. This cute little feather bracelet matched my trousers perfectly! I love co-ordination! They have some really cute bits at the moment, you should definitely go take a peek!

HIGH STREET PICKS: The Summer Dress

Summer is fast approaching, along with the ever growing festival season, and there's nothing better than that perfect summer dress... or two!

Now I'm more a midi dress type of girl when it comes to summer, like I've mentioned before, no one wants to see these nobly knees, but I've picked a few of my favourite dresses that I've drooled over a little this week.

ASOS - Lashes of London Metallic Bandeau Dress

I always find bandeau dresses effortless to style. You can pair them with a great statement necklace and bam you're ready with 20 minutes to spare to work making that messy bun even messier. I love the metallic tones within this dress, I'd definitely paint my nails gold to match - being the co-ordinate freak that I am,

Missguided - Flocked Tassle Trim Cami Dress

I feel like you can't go wrong with printed fabrics and tassels. I loveeee tassels! I found myself buying anything string like last summer as my obsession had gotten out of hand a little.. This makes for a perfect festival outfit! Throw on an oversized cardi for when the summer days get a little chilly.

Topshop - Strappy Button Midi Dress

This is a staple summer piece that is effortless to style! At only £25 it's a bargain too.. My bank balance will be in trouble if they bring this out in any more colours... I'll have one of each please!

Urban Outfitters - Native Rose Hummingbird Kaftan Dress

I feel this kaftan dress has a slight Kim K vibe. I love the mixture of colours and the shape of the dress. It's definitely a piece that can be dressed up or down, making it a great transitional item.

Zara - Jacquard Knitted Dress

This is my favourite item this week. I love everything about Zara and feel they always know how to keep it fresh and on trend whilst also being very ethical at the same time. Summer knitwear was introduced last summer and I feel it's going to take off massively this year, so watch out! 

Pretty Little Thing - Faith Black Floral Print Maxi Dress

Now I feel this is something for the taller ladies as I'm sure they can handle a lot of fabric on a single item than most. I can just see myself getting my head caught in this just trying it on!

It's an amazing floral print which, if I was taller, would wear this to an evening BBQ or meal.

As you can tell from my purchases, I really can't wait for the weather to get warmer. Browsing (and spending) on the high street and seeing all the bright and colourful clothing is just making me want to walk outside in a pretty little dress without the millions of layers. I'm bored of snow and the freezing weather, not that I was ever a massive fan of it to begin with anyway...

As I haven't had a chance to blog any outfit posts lately due to all the uni work, I thought I'd show you my new purchases this way instead! I realise now that a lot of it is from Primark, I don't tend to buy clothing from there just tights and socks but I couldn't help myself with these little goodies! I'm in awe with this lilac and mint body con dress, it was only a tenner too! I love the racer front and back detailing, it shows off my microdermal piercing on my collarbone perfectly (it's normally hidden under a turtle neck most days) so to finally get to show it off is exciting!

The crotchet crop top didn't photograph very well but I assure you it is beautiful! I picked it up from a little vintage store in the Leeds Corn Exchange. I was just passing through and happened to notice it. I've been after something like this for ages to pair with my Levis.

I've also been wanting to wear a little more jewellery recently. I'm in love with statement necklaces and cute little rings. I realised that most of my rings just aren't very nice anymore. the last time I really bought any new rings was waaaaay back in 6th form, so these purchases are definitely justified!
