All Purple Everything

Polo Neck Body - Miss Guided   //   Skirt - Oasis   //   Cardigan - River Island
Belt - Topshop Via eBay    //     Necklace - Sheinside.com

I must have been in a 'purple' type of mood yesterday mustn't I? I have to admit though, both my skirt & cardigan are over three years old! I've always loved this cardigan ever since I snapped it up in the January sales for just £7 in 2009! A well spent £7 that was! As for the skirt, it's actually my sisters that she gave to me before I headed off to university (almost three years ago, eeek where does time go?) because I always stole it from her wardrobe, and it's been my spring/summer go to skirt ever since! Not that the weather is anywhere close to becoming nice at the moment.

I'm still loving my new hair waver, I literally can't get enough of it! The waves hold for hours, and even after sleeping on them over night they were still pretty perfect in the morning!

I want to start doing some more nail art tutorials as I don't feel like I post enough any more. Does anyone have any suggestions? I sort of feel like nail art has become more like artwork recently, some of the pictures I see on Instagram really do deserve to be framed and hung up on the wall!

Peacock Dress

Oversized T-shirt Dress - Religion via ASOS   //   Denim Jacket - ASOS    //    Bag - Urban Outfitters
Belt - Topshop via eBay    //    Dr. Martens

How amazing is this T-shirt Dress? I spotted it on ASOS whilst I was doing my usual weekly browse on their website. They had send me a 25% discount code which was bound to end up with me making a few purchases! This dress is absolutely amazing! It's extra oversized & kind of swamped me when I first tried it on, so a belt had to be included to give me some shape back, without it, my big bottom was just protruding out of the back of the dress. Not a good look haha. The belt kind of hides the beautiful peacock print but I don't think it totally ruins the look, plus a belt is always a must!

Me & my sister went scouting for a location for a photoshoot I'm doing in collaboration with Home Sick Clothing next week and we ended up by an abandoned building. I had my SLR with me, and was wearing my new fave dress, now you do the math! I think the pictures turned out quite good, & I'm liking the change of scenery from my usual outfit posts! Do you?

I also bought a hair waver this week after seeing how amazing it looked on my friends hair! I've been waving my hair literally every day since. It makes a nice change from the usual curls and blown out straight hair I usually have.

I hope everyone is having a lovely weekend, I'm a little fragile after hurting my knee last night so it looks like a restful weekend is in order for me! Joy!

Leopard leggings

Dip Hem - Asos   //   Leggings - Asos   //    Necklace - Sheinside.com   //   Bracelets - Topshop
Boots - Miss Guided

I have to admit I'm not too sure on this outfit now. The last time I wore it, it made me feel really nice and girly, but now I'm looking at these pictures I feel a little 'maternity wear' vibe going on.  I still absolutely adore these leggings anyway! I have a slight weakness for leopard print, and my wardrobe is slowly holding more and more items of leopard print that I just simply can't resist buying. I think it's quite easy to fall into the whole Snooki-esqe vibe though! So hopefully I'm not heading in that direction!

As for my boots, I've been searching for a pair of black heeled boots for a while now that I can wear during the day and for a night out on the town. I've been lusting after the cut out Topshop/Jerffery Campbell ones for ages, but I'm seriously kidding myself if I think I'll ever be able to afford them before they go out of style.

I have a little collaboration coming up this weekend with a clothing label called Home Sick. So keep posted for those photos, a sneak peek will be uploaded to my instagram over the weekend! x

The hat shrunk, the fibers fused to my hair!

Beanie - c/o Huf Clothing    //   Denim Shirt - Urban Outfitters   //   Heart Hands Tee - Asos
Leggings - Topshop   //   Bracelet - Asos

I'm in love with this hat, and I don't care who knows it! I've been wanting a beanie hat for so long now, but seriously lacked the confidence to wear them out in public because its not usually something I go for in terms of style but I had a bee in my bonnet about wanting one.  I searched the internet for ages trying to find one I liked and typically I found this one which was out of stock everywhere!. Its by an American clothing company called Huf, their stuff is pretty popular on Tumblr. The fact that it was sold out just made me want it even more, don't you hate when that happens? After a few hours of searching and all hope lost, I found it! Since it arrived its been on my head pretty much everyday! I honestly don't know how I lived this long without wearing hats... They're literally perfect for hiding those bad hair days!

My outfit is a pretty simple one, but I do love a good comfy outfit and this is definitely one of those! I've had this T-shirt for a few years now and its still one of my faves, it literally goes with anything and its perfect for those days when you just don't know what to wear! I also dyed my hair red last week, did you notice? I was bored of the brown I had in it as it was starting to turn gingery. Think I
I'm going to stick with the red for a while yet... What you do think?

Instagram #1

I know I'm really late (like years late) to jump on the Instagram post bandwagon, but I think it'll be a nice break from my usual posts, and it will let you have a nosey at what I'm up to. It's never anything really interesting, but I know I like to have a little nose at other peoples Instagram pictures, so why not let everyone else do the same to me?

From left to right: A sneak preview of my glitter lips from the beauty shoot I did with my sister (previous post). My cat Gizmos paw prints in the snow. Me being a poser. My latest piercing (daith). I met Oxside & Neutrino at a club in Leeds, they are one of the first people who started UK garage music like 10 years ago! It was a hugeeee deal to me! Valentine inspired nail art. I created a selfie using the 'I Made Face' app. Jumper & Leopard print trousers. My new Huf beanie! Zebra print outfit planning. Me posing with my new beanie. Lavender Leopard print nail art.

A Walk in The Park

I really do have to apologise to everyone at how late this post actually is, but hey better late than never, isn't it? For those of you who follow me on Twitter/Instagram/have read a few older blog posts of mine, you'll know that me & my elder sister are always collaborating with Fashion and Photography type projects. I'm the fashion, and she's the photography! It literally works so perfectly.

Well, this photo shoot started off as a simple idea that Safina (my sister) had... She wanted to do a photo shoot that portrayed three different types of Fashion styles. East meets West, Skater & Urban. This is where I came into it... The styling! I was really excited because I've never had the chance to put my love for styling to the test and most importantly on other people... for a photo shoot.. that would be seen by lots of people. No pressure or anything! I have to admit, having the power and control over something so important for a photo shoot and seeing the end product is quite fulfilling!

Anyway, as time went on, my sisters imagination was also spiralling out of control with ideas. Within a matter of days, the photo shoot had gone from a couple of male models, to three male models, to three male and female models!  The pressure was on!

To help ideas flow for the styling ideas, I used good ol' Tumblr to help give me some inspiration! I created mood boards for each model, and ran through the outfit scenarios with each of them to try and mix and match what we could & couldn't use (the models were using their own clothes you see).

The day of the shoot was a huge success but painfully cold, mid December is not the best time to do location shoots believe me! It was totally worth it though, and gave me some really good practise and knowledge with the use of my SLR and will certainly come in handy for my Fashion Styling & Photography uni module this semester!

You can have a look at the actual images from the shoot HERE
here is a little taster for you!
